With a JDT shareholding composition of 70% held by HRH Tunku Ismail Sultan Ibrahim and 30% held by the Royal Footbal Fund (UAE), JDT became Malaysia football force and even Asia. Being consecutive champions of Malaysian Super League from 2014 to 2022, JDT is indeed a very well managed club.
In terms of quality, JDT has been able to participate in the AFC Champions League, but their journey is still stuck in the round of 16 this season (2022). The strong financial support from the crown prince of Johor and the United Arab Emirates, made the development of their management system ranging from facilities, players, coaches, and crews who performed their duties very well.
While other football clubs only improved on player strategy, JDT made significant changes from top to bottom. Starting from the JDT brand itself, training centers to comparative studies into several major European clubs, such as Borussia Dortmund, Valencia, and Juventus.
