Having a sense of liking to young children is a common thing. Because by seeing and playing with a children, body will be produce endorphin which could makes us happy. On the other hands, having interest to young children excessively or even more on sexual attraction can be categorized as a sexual perversion and tends to be dangerous.
In September 2021, the Malaysian Diraja Police in collaboration with the Australian Federal Police succeeded in arresting the world’s most hunted Pedophile, namely Alladin Lanim. After the last 14 years on the run, he was finally arrested in a Covid-19 quarantine facility. Alladin Lanim has abused and raped dozens of children in the age range of two years until sixteen years old during his stay in Lundu City, Sarawak, Malaysia.
According to a Harvard University study in 2010, people who have Pedophilia disease tend to be able to withstand medical treatment and about 25%-50% of patients went home unheeded. Of course this will be a serious problem, if it happens around us. This is where the need for integration between communities and institutions in dealing with pedophilia cases. Community participation is very important in carrying out preventive measures, so that people who have sexual deviance can be overcome immediately. Hopefully, sexual harassment cases can be resolved and finished!
